Not long ago this crazy urge began to stir within me to start a blog. I’ve never really considered myself to be a blogger so I gently pushed the idea aside into the darker more ignored corners of my attention. Day to day experiences kept me thinking that I needed to share. Here are my thoughts…
I am neither novice nor expert in the blogging world and everything that “that” entails but while living abroad I found a blog to be the best form of communication between family members and friends. Sharing my experiences repeatedly in individual letters didn’t appeal to me at the time, so I told my stories publicly. Blogging was the perfect tool for mass communication. I had a reason to tell my stories. This blog is different in that I really don’t have a specific purpose or theme. I’m just punching these keys away, one at a time, allowing each stroke to define the next.
It’s as if I’m standing in front of a dark tunnel waiting to advance into the obscure. The light from where I stand prevents me from seeing the details that the tunnel interior has to offer. An unknown illumination on the other side contrasts the shadows from within. The real detail of what lies ahead won’t fully be understood until I lift my feat and step forward. Or maybe that explains life in general?
Enough of my deep over analysis of my blog beginnings…Come along and we’ll see where this takes us. Quotes, Poetry, Stories, Pictures, Recipes…. We’ll see!
“Someone should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say. Whatever you want to do, do it now!
